Recently I told a story alone on a stage with a microphone and no notes at a Moth Story Slam in front of a sold out audience. I was very very nervous but did it anyway. The audience laughed at the punchline of my story and afterwards I felt great.
Before that I broke out of my Covid shell to travel to England, Ireland and Israel to see loved ones plus experience something new. I was so nervous before getting on multiple planes and exposing myself to thousands of people from around the world spreading germs in large airports, that I feared leaving my house for two days before traveling. After leaving, I felt great and was so happy to see everyone.
Has anyone else had the healing experience of going beyond their comfort zone?
This is a wonderful post Ellen, it’s inspiring and encouraging us to take the leap. As for myself I stepped outside my comfort zone last year when I started my blog and I’m so happy that I did!
This quote sums it all up perfectly: “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!”
